LNG Industry,
Euro Tank Terminal (ETT), VTTI’s terminal in the Port of Rotterdam, is investigating ways to increase customer satisfaction. To do so, Systems Navigator is selected as an independent consultant to analyse and find solutions for various bottlenecks existing in current terminal logistics. ETT and Systems Navigator have agreed on a continuous cooperation in order to be on top of market changes.
Analysed bottlenecks focus not only on landside infrastructure, such as pumps, pipeline availability and routing for specific product groups, but on berth and marine loading arm availability as well. To decrease vessel waiting times and turnaround times, ETT and Systems Navigator joined forces and found berth improvements and alternatives for tank to jetty connections.
ETT currently handles K1, K2 and K3 products. To predict the impact of a new product mix at the terminal various scenarios have been analysed using Systems Navigator’s advanced simulation technology in combination with vast experience in terminal logistics. This has resulted into a good understanding of ETT’s options in changing market conditions.
