Equinor sets sights on UK oil and gas field

According to Reuters, Norway’s Equinor has expressed interest in buying Chevron’s North Sea oil and gas field.

The field in question is the Rosebank field, located within UK owned waters in the North Sea. It is one of the UK’s largest oil and gas developments.

Chevron recently announced that it had received communications from a potential buyer for its 40% stake, however no specific reference to Equinor was made.
