Petronet tenders to purchase two cargoes of LNG

According to Reuters, Petronet LNG has tendered to purchase two LNG cargoes. Petronet LNG is the largest gas importer in India and owns the Dahej terminal, which has a capacity of 10 million tpy. The company also owns the Kochi LNG terminal, which has a nameplate capacity of 5 million tpy.

Reuters reports that the cargoes of LNG are scheduled for delivery in August and September 2016.

Recently, Reuters also reported that GAIL (India) Ltd is attempting to swap some of its contracted gas supplies from the Sabine Pass LNG facility in the US, in order to decrease shipping costs. More on this story can be read here.
