Dominion Energy and Dominion Energy Midstream complete merger

Dominion Energy, Inc. has announced that it has completed its proposed merger with Dominion Energy Midstream Partners, LP, pursuant to the definitive merger agreement that was announced on 26 November 2018.

According to the statement, the merger resulted in Dominion Energy acquiring all of the outstanding public common units of Dominion Energy Midstream Partners in exchange for Dominion Energy common shares and Dominion Energy Midstream Partners becoming an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Dominion Energy.

According to the statement, almost 7.5 million customers in 18 states power their homes and businesses with electricity or natural gas from Dominion Energy.

As one of the leading solar operators in the US, the company is looking to decrease its carbon intensity 60% by 2030.
