According to the statement, during its time at Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard, the FSRU underwent standard dry-docking and repairs, as well as modifications and retrofitting of a number of new systems, including the installation of a ballast water treatment system (BWTS).
To date, N-KOM claims that it has completed seven BWTS installations for a number of different vessel types, including LNG carriers, LPG carriers, and very large crude carriers. This latest vessel is now ready to sail to Bangladesh to join Excelerate’s Excellence FSRU in the Bay of Bengal and serve as the country’s second LNG import terminal.
