According to Reuters, Bahrain LNG is targeting May as its start date for commercial operations at its new import and regasification terminal. The terminal is located in the Khalifa bin Salman Port facility in Hidd, Bahrain.

The CEO of Bahrain’s National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), Jassem al Shirawi, recently announced that the terminal is due to import its first shipment of LNG from the UAE’s ADNOC. He also stated that the Hidd terminal is approximately 98% complete and its trial period will only last for a matter of weeks.

Bahrain’s first LNG floating storage unit is currently anchored in the UAE’s Fujairah port, but it is due to arrive, ready to commence operations, at the Hidd terminal by May.
