LNG Industry,

According to Reuters, Gordon Waters – the global head of LNG at Glencore – has left the company.

Reportedly, Glencore has declined to comment, whilst Waters has not immediately responded to a request for comment. It is not clear why he has left the commodity trading and mining company.

Following 18 years at BP, Waters joined Glencore in July 2015, based in Singapore. Reuters claims that he was employed to grow the company’s LNG business after helping BP become a key player in the spot and short-term trade from largely selling LNG via long-term contracts.
