Iran LNG & Gas Summit focuses on Tehran’s oil and gas development plans

According to the Middle East Oil & Gas Monitor, Tehran is also planning to launch a licensing round by the end of February 2017, with contracts to develop both giant and supergiant oil and gas fields. There are also reports of additional shale gas reserves in Iran.
There is significant potential to develop Iran’s gas. The Iran LNG & Gas Partnerships Summit, which will be held on 14 – 16 February 2017, in Frankfurt, Germany, with support of the Ministry of Petroleum, NIOC and NIGC, will be the official European platform for government executives to engage with oil and gas companies and receive an update directly from top officials involved in future projects.
The speaker line up includes H. E. Dr. Amir Hossein Zamaninia (Ministry of Petroleum), H. E. Hamid Reza Araqhi (NIGC), H. E. Dr. Gholamreza Manouchehri (NIOC), and a number of other government institutions. Sponsors include Shell, GTT, Rante, Tehran Raymand, SAGE Middle East to India and RSK.
The event is receiving strong support from companies worldwide, including from Japan, Korea, China and Europe. This inaugural event will be the meeting place for creating partnerships to maximise the potential of Iran’s LNG and gas industry.
