McDermott International Inc. has released a statement reaffirming its previously disclosed schedule for the Cameron LNG project in Hackberry, Louisiana, US.

As disclosed on 29 April this year, the company is expecting initial LNG production from the third and final train to occur in 2Q20.

The project started producing LNG from the first liquefaction train just last month, with Lisa Glatch, chief operating officer of Sempra LNG and board chair for Cameron LNG, saying: “Reaching this important milestone of first LNG production is truly a credit to the team at Cameron LNG and the work they’ve done to reach this point.

“Cameron LNG expects to load cargoes in the coming weeks – another major step forward to bringing cleaner, affordable energy to global markets.”
