Weir Group appoints Chief Technology Officer

Weir Group PLC has announced that it has appointed Geetha Dabir to its Group Executive in the new position of Chief Technology Officer.

Dabir is an electrical and software engineer and has served in a number of leadership roles with Intel Corp. and Cisco Systems Inc. She has extensive digital and electrical experience, which she will use to support Weir’s technology strategy.

Dabir originally joined Cisco in 2001, and held several senior roles during her 13-year career there, including Vice President and General Manager of IoT Applications.

Following this, Dabir joined Intel in 2014 as Vice President and General Manager of its IoT Applications Ready Platform Group.

Dabir will join the group in March 2017.
