Osaka Gas to look to Europe to offload spare LNG cargoes

LNG Industry,

Reuters is reporting that Asian LNG sellers, such as Osaka Gas, are seeking alternative markets as the global LNG market hits multi-year lows.

These latest multi-year lows are the result of mild weather in Japan and a weaker Chinese economy.

According to industry sources, Osaka Gas is currently offering two LNG cargoes, for delivery into Europe, from the newly-commissioned Freeport LNG project. The delivery dates for the cargoes are between 5 – 13 July, and 9 – 17 November.
