Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd (BPCL) has signed and exchanged a master sale and purchase agreement (MSPA) with Eni S.p.A., marking an important step towards strengthening co-operation in LNG sourcing and creating a framework for future LNG supply and trading opportunities.
The agreement was signed and exchanged by the BPCL team comprising Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing); Shri Rahul Tandon, Business Head (Gas); and Shri Rakesh Sinha, Head LNG Sourcing, Logistics & Sales (GAS), along with the Eni team comprising Cristian Signoretto, Global Gas & LNG Portfolio Director; Ilaria Azzimonti, Head of LNG Portfolio; Rahul Modi, Head of LNG Origination; and Uday Kiran, LNG Manager, LNG Origination, in the presence of Shri Vikas Singh, Director (GP-I & Vig.), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
The MSPA provides a platform for BPCL and Eni to explore LNG opportunities and further deepen engagement in the evolving global LNG market. The collaboration supports BPCL’s efforts to diversify its LNG sourcing portfolio, enhance supply flexibility, and strengthen energy security for India.
The agreement underscores the importance of global partnerships in supporting India’s growing gas economy and building a more flexible and resilient LNG supply ecosystem.
