SHI receives order for LNG carrier

Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has announced that it has received an order for a new LNG carrier.

According to the statement, the order is valued at approximately KRW209 billion.

Following this latest order, SHI claims that its orders for 2018 now come to a total of 46 vessels and US$5.7 billion. These 46 vessels include 15 LNG carriers, 13 containerships, 15 tankers and three special purpose ships.

Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. has ordered three latest technology LNG carriers to be built at HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd, scheduled for delivery in 2028 and 2029.
