CB&I appoints new COO

CB&I has announced that Patrick K. Mullen has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Mullen will be responsible for the company’s project operations, commercial functions and support functions. He will also work with the executive team to help develop key strategies for the future.
Most recently, Mullen served as Executive Vice President and President of CB&I’s Engineering and Construction operating group. He originally joined CB&I in 2007 through the company’s acquisition of Lummus Global. He has worked in a number of strategic, operational and commercial leadership roles throughout the company, and has served as a key interface with CB&I’s shareholders. Mullen has over 25 years’ experience in the energy infrastructure industry, and presently serves as member of Vectren Corp.’s board of directors.
The President and CEO of CB&I, Philip K. Asherman, said: “I'm pleased to announce Pat's promotion to Chief Operating Officer of CB&I. Pat has an exceptional track record in operations and commercial management roles within the company, having most recently led our largest operating group.
