The first commingling LNG cargo of Hiroshima Gas Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., transported by Tokyo LNG Tanker Co., Ltd., has arrived at Hiroshima Gas’ Hatsukaichi LNG terminal.
This is the first commingling LNG cargo based on the LNG transportation agreement between Hiroshima Gas, Tokyo Gas, and Tokyo LNG Tanker that was executed in February 2020, in which LNG procured by Hiroshima Gas and Tokyo Gas from Sakhalin, Russia would be jointly transported by an LNG carrier owned and operated by Tokyo LNG Tanker for a period of eight years from FY2020 to FY2027. The agreement was made possible with the cooperation of Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd., a long term supplier of Hiroshima Gas and Tokyo Gas.
Hiroshima Gas and Tokyo Gas will continue to provide a stable supply of city gas and aim to further the usage of natural gas thorough the realisation of a stable supply of energy that will be beneficial for the customers of both companies.
