Chiyoda Almana awarded EPC management contract by RasGas

Chiyoda Corp. has announced that its subsidiary, Chiyoda Almana Engineering LLC, has been awarded a long-term engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) management services contract by Rasgas Co. Ltd. The five-year contract will see Chiyoda Almana provide services for projects that support the operations of both onshore and offshore facilities. In particular, a total of seven LNG plants, as well as three large gas-processing plants, helium plants and other RasGas-operated facilities at Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar, will be covered by the contract.
Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi, the CEO of RasGas, said: “With the signing of this new five-year term contract, we hope to ensure continued efficiency in completing ongoing projects, maintaining the highest safety standards and drawing on the benefits of Chiyoda Almana’s familiarity with our operating assets and brownfield execution capability developed during the previous EPC management contract.”
The Operation Director of Gas & LNG Project Operations 1 and Senior Vice President of Chiyoda Corp., Mamoru Nakano, said: “Chiyoda Almana has a strong business relationship with RasGas, and we are so honoured to be awarded the RasGas long-term EPC management services contract, which will definitely strengthen these business ties.”
