LifeEnergy – new company launched in North America

LS Power has announced the launch of a new energy company – LifeEnergy LLC. The company will focus on supplying gas, electricity, mobile LNG, solar and distributed generation to both businesses and residential users in North America.
The company will be funded by an affiliate of LS Power – a power generation, transmission and investment group managed by Chairman and CEO, Zin Smati – and will be based in Houston, Texas, US. There are plans to eventually expand nationally and then into both Canada and Mexico.
Smati said: “The North American energy industry is in a state of transition. I believe strongly that there is a tremendous opportunity in the marketplace to build a nationally branded and scalable energy company focused on delivering a variety of products and services for both residential and business customers.
“With its entrepreneurial culture and track record of success, LS Power is exactly the type of partner that can help build LifeEnergy into a company admired by customers, partners and employees."
The CEO of LS Power, Paul Segal, added: “We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with Zin on LifeEnergy.
