According to Reuters, PTT – the Thai state energy firm – is looking to introduce an LNG desk in Singapore to increase its trading activities of the fuel.

Reuters reports that the southeast Asian country relies largely on gas to create power, but domestic supply is not keeping pace with consumption. Therefore, the country must import more LNG.

According to Reuters, the firm is aiming to set up the desk in February by hiring at least one LNG trader and an operations staff.
