Reuters is reporting that India’s Gujarat State Petroleum Corp (GSPC) is seeking to purchase its first LNG cargoes since it issued a force majeure notice to its suppliers in March.
As India starts to ease its almost seven week lockdown, initiated in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, the country’s demand for LNG is starting to recover.
Indeed, Reuters industry sources have reported that GSPC is currently seeking five LNG cargoes for delivery between July and December, via a tender that is set to close on 20 May.
