Chevron and Woodside schedule maintenance work for 2019

According to Reuters, both Chevron Corp. and Woodside Petroleum have plans to carry out major maintenance activities on their Western Australian LNG facilities from April to September this year.

Reuters reports that Woodside has scheduled maintenance at its Pluto LNG facility, which has a capacity of approximately 4.9 million tpy, for around a month from April to May. In addition to this, Reuters reports that the Australian producer has also scheduled maintenance activities at its North West Shelf project’s Goodwyn A platform train 2 for a 21-day period, and LNG train 1 for a 19-day period. Both of these maintenance operations will take place in July, Reuters reports.

According to Reuters, integrated North West Shelf project maintenance has also been planned for September. This will include major work on LNG train 5 for a 19-day period, fractionation for a 14-day period, North Rankin Complex for a 19-day period, and North Rankin train 2 for a 20-day period.

Woodside aside, Chevron is also planning maintenance activities this year. Reuters reports that the producer has scheduled for maintenance activities to be carried out on its Gorgon LNG facility from 23 May to 9 July, involving the shutdown of just over half a train.
