Fulkrum Technical Resources (FTR) has announced that it has been awarded a contract by a major hydrocarbon exploration company to provide services for a groundbreaking LNG project in Mozambique.

FTR is a global provider of technical personnel specialising in QA/QC, inspection and vendor surveillance services to the energy industry.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, FTR claims that it will provide the LNG project with technical specialist and inspection services throughout the procurement and construction stages of the development.

Split into two phases (in-country and out-of-country), FTR claims that its technical specialist, subject matter experts and inspection personnel will support multiple work scopes, including global supplier surveillance support throughout the procurement process, and QC surveillance during the execution of the onshore and offshore construction campaigns.

Brock Falkenhagen, FTR’s Regional Manager of the Americas, said: “This is an outstanding contract win for us, and we are delighted to be working on this project to support the trail-blazing LNG operations in Mozambique.

“There has already been heavy investment in the development of Mozambican talent and workforce and we are keen to continue this positive progress. By 2022, Fulkrum’s in-country office will solely manage the project, employing primarily local personnel, which reflects the strategy to expand our capabilities in regions previously unexplored by FTR.”
