Woodfibre LNG commences geotechnical work

Woodfibre LNG has announced that geotechnical work has commenced on the site for the proposed LNG processing and export facility in Squamish, British Columbia (B.C.), Canada.
Boreholes will be drilled on land and in the foreshore of the site in order to study soil conditions both in and around the structures planned for the proposed facility. The results will be used as part of the front end engineering and design (FEED) stage.
The company claims that the work is being carried out within Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s timing window for the protection of fish and fish habitat for Howe Sound (when work can be done with the lowest risk to fish and their habitat).
