Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG extends capacity subscription call

Published by , Editor
LNG Industry,

The call for capacity subscription currently ongoing at Montoir-de-Bretagne will enter its final binding phase in October 2019.

According to the terminal operator, Elengy, the call presents a unique opportunity to gain direct access to up to 3.5 billion m3/yr of firm and existing capacity from 1 October 2021 to 31 December 2035.

The company is confident that Montoir-de-Bretagne is technically and economically one of the most relevant LNG terminals to match the increasing LNG import needs in Europe.

To date, Elengy has already received a significant level of interest from the market. Hence, based on first commercial discussions, the company has decided to update the provisional commercial schedule as follows:

  • New deadline for registration is 11 October 2019 at 16:00 Paris time.
  • Deadline for qualification and binding submission has been pushed back to 5 November 2019.

This agenda is subject to the approval of the French Commission for Regulation of Energy, to be specified before the start of the binding period.
