The vessels will be built on behalf of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd (MOL). They will all be equipped with NO96-L03+ technology, and will each have a capacity of 174 000 m3. The first vessel is scheduled for delivery in late 2019.
The N096-L03+ insulation system is an evolution of the NO96 technology, which is featured in more than 200 vessels across the globe. The configuration of the containment system NO96-L03+ guarantees a boil-off rate of 0.1% cargo volume per day.
The Chairman and CEO of GTT, Philippe Berterottière, said: “We are very pleased to further strengthen our relations with our partner Hudong Zhonghua. This is an extraordinary order, a very large and major shipbuilding project to which we are proud to contribute. In addition, the four vessels concerned will be equipped with the technology NO96-L03+, a success for the new GTT technologies recently developed.”
