Novatek reports preliminary operating data for 3Q19

Pao Novatek has reported preliminary operating data for 3Q19 and the first nine months of 2019.

In 3Q19, Novatek’s hydrocarbon production totalled 145.2 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), including 18.31 billion m3 of natural gas and 3.04 million t of liquids (gas condensate and crude oil), resulting in an increase in total hydrocarbons produced by 7.2 million boe, or by 5.2% as compared with 3Q18.

In the first nine months of 2019, Novatek’s hydrocarbon production totalled 441.3 million boe, including 55.88 billion m3 of natural gas and 9.06 million t of liquids, resulting in an increase in total hydrocarbons produced by 39.1 million boe, or by 9.7% as compared to the first nine months of 2018.

In 3Q19 and the first nine months of 2019, the company processed 2.62 million t and 8.01 million t, respectively, of unstable gas condensate at the Purovsky Processing Plant, representing a decrease in processed volumes by 1.9% and 2.6%, as compared with the corresponding periods in 2018. In 3Q19 and the first nine months of 2019, Novatek processed 1.65 million and 5.11 million t, respectively, of stable gas condensate at the Ust-Luga Complex, which was 3.6% higher and 0.5% lower, as compared with the corresponding periods in 2018.

Preliminary 3Q19 natural gas sales volumes, including volumes of LNG sold, aggregated 16.70 billion m3, representing an increase of 7.1% as compared with the corresponding period in 2018. Natural gas volumes sold in the Russian Federation in 3Q19 were 13.66 billion m3, whereas volumes of LNG sold on international markets amounted to 3.04 billion m3.

According to preliminary data in 3Q19, petroleum product sales volumes aggregated 1.55 million t, including 987 000 t of naphtha, 252 000 t of jet fuel, and 312 000 t of fuel oil and gasoil. Novatek sold 1.26 million t of crude oil and 489 000 t of stable gas condensate.

As of 30 September 2019, Novatek had 1.8 billion m3 of natural gas, including LNG, and 738 000 t of stable gas condensate and petroleum products in storage or transit and recognised as inventory.
