The company is seeking a deal length spanning up to 10 years as it looks to diversify its LNG supply beyond the Middle East.
An added incentive that could be included in a potential deal is the option of Petronet taking a stake in a US LNG project.
Petronet’s managing director, Prabhat Singh, has commented that the company has been in talks with various potential partners regarding a US deal. These have included Tellurian, with whom a deal could include the purchase of a stake in the proposed Driftwood LNG project in Louisiana.
