Mammoet has released a statement claiming that it has successfully transported the longest module for the Yamal LNG project.

The module weighs 5400 t, measures 103 m long and was transported from a heavy transport ship to the dock using 400 axle lines of SPMTs. At the buffer area, the module was jacked down. Once this was completed, the module was placed onto SPMTs and transported to the plant’s foundation.

The Yamal LNG project, which is located on the Yamal peninsula, Russia, consists of three liquefaction trains with a total output capacity of 16.5 million tpy. Mammoet is responsible for transporting 150 modules, as well as more than 1200 smaller items, from heavy transport ships in the port of Sabetta to the plant’s foundations.
