SHI receives LNG carrier order

Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has announced that it has received an order to construct two new LNG carriers.

According to the statement, the carrier duo will be built for approximately KRW450 billion.

The company claims that its new order total for this year now stands at 11 vessels and US$3 billion. This order total consists of 10 LNG carriers and one floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
