The Montego Bay Terminal took just 15 months to construct, and was commissioned in 2016.
On the company’s website, New Fortress Energy claims that the facility has enabled Jamaica to diversify its energy supply for the first time, signifying an important step towards ending the country’s reliance on oil.
The facility features onshore storage, truck loading facilities, a regasification plant and natural gas pipelines. It supplies the 145 MW Bogue power plant, as well as industrial customers.
