Picture of the week: Sakhalin II LNG project

LNG Industry,

Sakhalin II is one of the world’s largest integrated, export-oriented oil and gas projects, and Russia’s first offshore LNG project.

In 2012, Sakhalin II added 4.5% to the world’s LNG capacity. It currently meets almost 9.5% of Japan’s gas needs, and 6% of South Korea’s.

The project exports LNG to energy markets in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the west coast of North America.
