According to Reuters, Switzerland’s Axpo and German LNG Terminal GmbH have signed a heads of agreement (HoA) for a long-term capacity contract.
The contract is for the LNG terminal scheduled to be constructed at Brunsbuettel.
In a joint-statement, Axpo and German LNG announced: “This is another important step towards taking the investment decision (for Brunsbuettel).”
Financial details, cargo sizes and contract length have not been disclosed at this time.
Brunsbuettel is one of three LNG projects being developed in Germany. These projects are part of a larger scheme that aims to diversify Germany’s natural gas supply, in particular by reducing its dependence on imports from Russia.
