LNG Limited has announced that John Baguley has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.

Baguley joined the company in May 2014 as Chief Operating Officer for Magnolia LNG, and extended his responsibility to the role of Chief Technical Officer for LNG Limited in November 2015. He will commence his new role on 16 June 2017, and will be based in Houston, Texas, US.

Baguley has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, and has led teams that have designed, constructed, delivered and operated innovative and challenging LNG and related petrochemical projects worldwide. His experience ensures that he has both the knowledge and background to lead the company’s operations, including oversight of both the Magnolia LNG and Bear Head LNG projects, the company’s OSMR® technology, managing strategic alliances with service providers, and ensuring effective integration across design, construction and operations.

The Managing Director and CEO of LNG Limited, Greg Vesey, said: “John has been an integral part of LNGL since he joined the company and a trusted advisor to me.

“I congratulate John on his new role, and look forward to working with him as we continue to drive the company onward into its next phase working with our customers, strategic partners, and shareholders.”

Baguley said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as LNGL’s Chief Operating Officer and to carry on the excellent progress we have made in taking our projects from conception through development and now ready for construction. We have built a great team at LNGL, and together, we will deliver on the company’s goals and aspirations as we make the transition into an organisation responsible for operational LNG assets.”
