LNG Industry,
The current favourable situation in international gas markets has determined not only the most intense period operations in the history of Klaipeda LNG terminal, but is also responsible for enhancing the range of the terminal’s clients. At the end of May, a new client, UAB Imlitex, started to use the services of the Klaipeda LNG terminal. Imlitex belongs to the major Lithuanian raw materials trading group Imlitex Holdings.
The company recently placed its first regasification order with the terminal for a capacity of 964 000 MWh. The LNG cargo intended to fulfil this order will reach Klaipeda in the coming weeks.
“We are an independent supplier of natural gas and we provide services to industrial companies not only in Lithuania, but also in other Baltic States. In the context of the favourable market situation, we have acquired an LNG cargo, part of which will be sold in the wholesale market, and the other part will be left for the natural gas portfolio diversification. We pursue to become one of the leading suppliers in the Baltic gas market, therefore, we will further create added value for our clients by being flexible in the supply business and by adjusting the pricing to best meet it needs. In this process of cargo acquisition, we appreciate the contribution of users of the KN terminal as well as of other terminals, therefore, in the future, we are planning to perform the LNG supply to the Baltic States through the terminal in Klaipeda,” claims Dominykas Kryževicius, gas trade business manager of UAB Imlitex.
“The concluded agreement with the third user of Klaipeda LNG terminal demonstrates that we have drawn the attention of business to the focus of KN on the supply of more flexible and efficient LNG loading and regasification services. We respond to the rapidly changing situation in the international LNG markets; therefore, we cooperate with business and we find technological and planning solutions, which best meet their expectations,” said Arunas Molis, head of Klaipeda LNG Service of KN, the operator of oil products and LNG terminals.
