Angola LNG resumes production

LNG Industry,

According to Reuters, the Angola LNG export facility has resumed production after being taken offline around 22 December 2016.

The facility was reportedly taken offline as part of a controlled shutdown, so that engineers could carry out a minor intervention.

Barbara Freitas-Daniels, a spokeswoman for the venture led by Chevron, said: “I confirm that Angola LNG's plant has restarted production.”

Reuters claims that the facility has been shut down a number of times for long periods ever since it started up in mid-2013. This included a two-year shutdown that lasted from April 2014 to June 2016 so that design flaws could be fixed.
