GasLog signs training agreement with Siport21

By this means, the company claims that it is continuing to focus on the safety of its crew, trusting the methodology applied by the Spanish company.
According to the statement, this agreement includes the development of real-time ship manoeuvring simulation training programmes in which the attendees will improve their knowledge about LNG terminals Bahia Blanca and Escobar (Argentina). After this training, GasLog claims that attendees will have improved their knowledge of the most complicated navigation areas and, therefore, the safety of the manoeuvres, contributing to facilitate the communication and cooperation between Pilots and bridge staff.
GasLog claims that specific models of vessels will be used in these training programmes, and will include the transit of the access channels and manoeuvring areas to the FSRU and FLNG unit moored at Escobar and Bahia Blanca, respectively. In addition to this, attendees will carry out emergency manoeuvres in order to improve their reactions to unforeseen sudden events.
