Glencore considering LNG project in the Philippines

According to Reuters, mining and trading leader Glencore is considering expanding its presence in the LNG market as demand continues to grow.
The company has identified the Philippines as the ideal location for as possible LNG import project, consisting of a FSRU to import LNG directly to a power plant.
Reuters sources report that a commercial agreement has been signed and if pursued by Glencore, it would receive backing from several entities, including a engineering group from China.
