Hudong Zhonghua, COSCO Shipping, and PetroChina sign LNG carrier deal

According to Reuters, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Co has signed a contract to construct three LNG carriers for COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation.
The contract is reportedly worth 3.9 billion yuan (US$551.62 million), and each carrier will have a capacity of 174 000 m3. Delivery of the three vessels is expected between late 2022 and early 2023.
The vessels will be operated by COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation and deployed to provide LNG shipping services for PetroChina International Co.
