Steelhead LNG has announced that Kerri L. Fox has been appointed Chief Financial Advisor.

Fox is the former head of BBVA Securities’ Project Finance North America business, and has over 20 years of experience in structuring and executing financings for energy and infrastructure projects in Canada, the US and Latin America, including US Gulf Coast LNG projects.

Prior to BBVA, Fox lead the global export and project finance business for Fortis Capital Corp., and held a number of roles at the Structured and Project Finance Group at Deutsche Bank. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Alterra Power Corp. – a Vancouver-based renewable energy independent power producer – as well as TerraForm Power – a dividend growth-oriented company formed to own and operate contracted clean power generation assets.

Fox said: “With its unique approach to First Nations relationships and its cost-saving At-Shore LNG project design, Steelhead LNG has positioned itself to become a successful exporter of LNG from British Columbia that is cost-competitive with the US Gulf Coast projects.

“I look forward to contributing my financial, commercial and legal experience as Steelhead LNG continues to move towards a projected 2019 FID.”

The appointment of Fox follows two other leadership appointments in January. Firstly, Paul Sullivan, the former Global Director of LNG and Floating LNG at WorleyParsons, joined as Vice President, Projects. Gerry Peereboom, meanwhile, the former head of Tangguh LNG (BP Indonesia), Atlantic LNG (Trinidad and Tobago) and BP Algeria, joined as Vice President, Integration.

Nigel Kuzemko, the CEO of Steelhead LNG, said: “We have made significant progress in key areas of advancing our environmentally sustainable and cost-competitive At-Shore LNG projects.

“Kerri’s impressive legal, financial and clean power generation experience makes her an excellent addition to our experienced leadership team. Our company is increasingly well positioned to achieve its future development goals.”
