Harsco Corp. has announced that it has received an order for 12 gas compression coolers, which will support a new gas-fired compression station to be built along a 66-mile long pipeline in southeast Texas, US. The coolers will be produced by its Harsco Industrial Air-X-Changers/Hammco business.

The pipeline will supply up to 1.54 billion ft3/d of gas to a large LNG facility in the Gulf. Each cooler will be 55 ft long and 16 ft wide, and will feature 15 ft dia. fans. The pipeline itself will be 36 in. dia.

Scott Gerson, the President of Harsco’s Industrial segment, said: “Even though energy markets remain under pressure, these key projects continue, as they will be vital to the market’s eventual recovery.”

This latest order signifies Harsco’s fifth large midstream compression project in the last 24 months, totalling approximately US$30 million in project revenue overall.
