According to Reuters, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) has resumed the environmental review of the Petronas-led Pacific NorthWest LNG (PNW LNG) project in northern British Columbia (B.C.), Canada. The process last came to a standstill in March 2016, as the regulator requested further information from the company.
Reuters reports that the CEAA has posted Petronas’ response online, claiming that it has satisfied the request for additional information. The agency now has a final three-month period, which was granted by the government, to review the project. Overall, Petronas has now been waiting approximately three years to commence the construction of the project.
Furthermore, Reuters claims that the Liberals have confirmed that they will make a final decision on the project by the end of September 2016.
