Yamal LNG reaches new milestone

Yamal LNG has announced that it has reached a new milestone, having shipping its 30 millionth tonne of LNG since the project commenced operations.

The Nikolay Yevgenov Arc7 ice-class tanker loaded the 411th cargo as the project reached 30 million t of LNG dispatched since the startup of Train 1 in December 2017.

According to the statement, the project produced 18.4 millon t of LNG last year, exceeding its design capacity of just 16.5 million tpy. Last year was reportedly the first full year of simultaneous operation of all three liquefaction trains.
