LNG Industry,

WCC LNG Project Ltd has announced its intentions to develop an LNG plant in the Tuck Inlet on District Lot 444 within the city of Prince Rupert, British Columbia (B.C.), Canada. The proposed project would be capable of exporting up to approximately 30 million tpy of LNG to global customers.

The project will be reviewed under B.C.’s Environmental Assessment Act and is currently being reviewed by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. Until these reviews have been completed, approval of the Application Information Requirements (AIR) must be given by the Environmental Assessment Office of B.C. (EAO).

The AIR will detail which studies will be carried out, and the detailed information that will be supplied by WCC. The EAO has invited public comments on the draft version of the AIR, which was open for review as of 23 November 2015.

In order to provide more information on the AIR, the EAO has decided to host an open house on 8 December 2015 in Prince Rupert.
