URS Corporation has been awarded a contract by LNG Canada to serve as the main information contractor for its proposed LNG export facility in Kitimat, British Columbia.
Under the contract, URS’ scope of work will be to configure, implement, and support an integrated engineering environment that enables the project to create and share information through a central platform. URS is under contract for the project’s front-end engineering design phase and will work closely with LNG Canada’s main contractor, CFSW LNG Constructors, a joint venture with affiliates of Chiyoda Corporation, Foster Wheeler, Saipem, and WorleyParsons.
“We look forward to providing our skilled resources, in multiple locations and time zones, to support the LNG Canada project. LNG Canada has chosen us as a partner to ensure coordinated, consistent, complete, and accurate data for the entire project life cycle,” commented Mark Costello, General Manager for URS’ Industrial/Process Group.
