LNG Canada granted AIR approval
The British Columbian Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) has approved LNG Canada’s AIR (Application Information Requirements) for the proposed project in Kitimat.
The AIR outlines the studies, methods and information needed for LNG Canada’s application for an Environmental Assessment Certificate. The AIR was developed taking into account comments submitted by members of the general public, First Nations and regulators.
LNG Canada will now continue to gather information and complete studies in accordance with the AIR, in support of developing the project’s Environmental Assessment Application, which the company intends to submit to the BC EAO by the end of 2014.
The project comment tracking tables and the AIR can be accessed here.
