Petrotechnics has announced that it has been selected by a major LNG operator to provide its Proscient platform at the operator’s Gulf of Mexico’s facility. The software will improve operations and risk management at the facility by standardising policies, processes, initiatives and procedures. The operator, which has received approval from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to export domestically produced LNG, is currently expanding its LNG facility.

Proscient provides stakeholders with a way of visualising and managing operational risk and activity. The operator will integrate the SAP work management data with internal best practices and principles related to process safety management, ensuring the standardisation and systemisation of operations and risk management across the business.

Mike Neill, the North American President at Petrotechnics, said: “We are proud to announce Proscient’s deployment to support LNG operations in North America.“

"Proscient enables LNG operators to align their work culture and processes while standardising operations and risk management practices across the business. Crucially, our software helps them achieve their strategic goal of safely, efficiently and sustainably increasing their overall export capacity.”
