Alaska Gasline Development Corp. (AGDC) has announced that it has hired former Senator Gene Therriault to assist in government relations.

AGDC is an independent, public corporation of the State of Alaska, US. Under a shared services agreement with Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA), Therriault, will help in the coordination of legislative presentations and responses on AGDC’s behalf.

Currently, Therriault works part time for AIDEA on the Interior Energy Project, and manages AIDEA’s interaction with the Alaska State Legislature. The shared contractual arrangement with AIDEA maximises AGDC services using minimal project expenditure.

Keith Meyer, the President of AGDC, said: “We are very fortunate to have Gene Therriault join the AGDC team.

“Gene’s prior experience as a legislator and his experience with in-state energy projects will be extremely helpful as we continue discussions with state legislators and work towards advancing the Alaska gasline and LNG project.”
