FERC grants authorisation for Coastal Bend Header Project

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has granted authorisation for Gulf South Pipeline Co. to build and operate two new compressor stations, to expand a third on its existing Index 129 system in Texas, US, and to build and operate a new pipeline and compressor station in Wharton and Brazoria counties, Texas.
The project, which is known as the Coastal Bend Header Project, will allow Gulf South to transport up to 1.42 billion ft3/d of gas to Freeport LNG Development’s liquefaction and export terminal in Quintana Island, Brazoria County, Texas.
