BRIEF: Harbour submits ‘best and final’ bid for Santos

According to Reuters, Harbour Energy has submitted a new takeover proposal of US$10.8 billion for Australian gas producer Santos Ltd.
This latest offer has been quoted as the company’s ‘best and final’ by an emailed statement from the company:
“Harbour’s 21 May 2018 proposal is ‘best and final’ and will not be further increased prior to entering into a Scheme Implementation Deed.”
