KBR awarded FEED contract for Woodfibre LNG project

KBR Inc. has announced that it has been awarded a multi-phased contract to provide the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for the Woodfibre LNG project. The first phase will be booked into backlog of unfilled orders for KBR’s Engineering & Construction (E&C) business segment for 1Q16. The 2.1 million tpy project, which is located in British Columbia (B.C.), Canada, recently received environmental approval from the federal government.
Specifically, KBR will provide FEED optimisation, pre-FEED, FEED and development of a fixed price offer for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
Byng Giraud, the Country Manager and Vice President of Woodfibre LNG Ltd, said: “The award of the FEED contract to KBR ensures the Woodfibre LNG Project is engineered and designed to world-class standards, and marks another important step towards making the project a reality."
