According to Reuters, Novatek has commenced LNG exports from its newly constructed small scale LNG plant in the Port of Vysotsk on the Baltic Sea.

Reuters reports that, alongside Gazprombank, Novatek has built but not yet officially launched the 660 000 tpy plant.

According to Reuters, however, Refinitiv Eikon flows data shows that Novatek has shipped seven cargoes from the plant with a total volume of 67 800 m3 of LNG. These shipments were reportedly made between 31 March and 16 April.

Three cargoes were reportedly received at the Klaipeda port in Lithuania; one at the Finnish port of Tahkoluoto (Pori); one at the Finnish port of Tornio; and two at Visby and Nynashamn in Sweden.

According to Reuters, two out of the three cargoes at Klaipeda were purchased by privately-owned fertilizer producer Achema, whilst the third was purchased by a unit of Lietuvos Energija – the Lithuanian state-owned energy company – via a trader. The cargo received at Pori, meanwhile, was purchased by Gasum, whilst the one at Tornio was also bought by Gasum, but then sold to Manga LNG Oy.

Reuters reports that Shell and Linde purchased the cargo that arrived at the Nynashamn port, whilst, at the Visby port, the Kairos LNG bunkering vessel is supplying Destination Gotland’s Visborg ferry.
